Most online marketers, Network marketers and business professionals have a LinkedIn profile set up, but most never take full advantage of this powerful social media site. I must admit, I was one of those people that set up a LinkedIn profile and barely logged into it. And this was because I, like most people, had no idea on how to use this site. And I didn’t have a clear understanding of why I should even use it.
LinkedIn is a site where people only go to Network and conduct business. Unlike Facebook, Twitter or Instagram where people go to these sites to hang out and connect with friends. I say that to say Be professional when marketing on LinkedIn.
~Over 100 million users.
~People trust the information on LinkedIn more than any other social media site.
~64% of LinkedIn users are outside of the U.S. (Great way to connect with business professionals far and wide)
~LinkedIn’s fastest growing demographic is recent college grads. (If your in a business that requires you to recruit. This is Gold)
~LinkedIn is hands down the best social media site to connect with Business people.

1-Complete your LinkedIn Profile. Once you create your LinkedIn profile make sure to complete it. Have a compelling bio about yourself and talk about what it is that you do (Don’t Sell). In order for people to find you in the search you must have your LinkedIn bio keyword rich with your title or profession.
2-Endorse. I really like how you can endorse people on LinkedIn. This is a great way for people to recognize you for your skills. In order to get people to endorse you. Endorse them first. This also a good way to connect with people with similar skills.
3-Link Back. Link back to your website, Facebook page, Twitter and your Blog. Im not on LinkedIn as much as I am on other social media sites. But I’m still able to build a relationship with my LinkedIn connections by sharing my blog posts and Twitter updates.
4-LinkedIn Groups. Start a LinkedIn group for your target market. This is a great way to keep your LinkedIn prospects up to date on you and your business. Some people join groups on LinkedIn and forget about them. But they will still receive your emails. And their connections can see when they joined a group. This will give more exposure to your business.
5- Connect with LinkedIn users. The most important thing to do on a social media site is to connect with the people on your site. Nothing you do can replace this. And by connecting with people I not talking about pitching your business or trying to hard sell them on something. I’m talking about building a relationship with like minded business professionals. Remember its not what you know, Its who you know.
See You at The Top!
